Yes, that is correct! Well done! It can be hard not to correct people in your group when they say things that you know are not Biblically correct, but it is important to not correct them (at least publicly in the group meeting) for a lot of reasons. Some of these are:
(2) it robs others in the group from correcting that person, which is more likely going to be less threatening than if the leader corrects them, and (3) it keeps others in the group from thinking more deeply about what they actually believe which ends up lessening the likelihood of real transformation. |
