Correct! Ephesians 6:17 tells us to wield “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” The word of God (the Bible) is our best offensive weapon against the deceptions of Satan, but remember that in the very next verse it instructs us to wield this weapon of offense with prayer. You need the Holy Spirit to guide you as to the best way to use the truth of God’s word. So make sure you pray for the Holy Spirit’s help before you wade into the heat of the battle.
